M. Jean Rawson, B.S., U. of Mississippi; M.S., Indiana U.; J.D., John Marshall Law School, Chicago, is admitted to practice law in Florida and Indiana in all state and federal courts and in the U.S. Supreme Court. A former high school teacher, Ms. Rawson has served as an adjunct professor of school law at Indiana University, Purdue University, U. of South Florida, and John Marshall Law School. She served as an administrative hearing officer for the Indian Department of Special Education and as the Compliance Specialist for the School District of Collier County, Florida. Ms. Rawson has a private law practice in Naples, Florida, concentrating in family law, juvenile law, school law, and special education law.
Ms. Rawson in also the author of A Manual of Special Education Law for Educators and Parents (Morgen Publishing Inc., 2000, P.O. Box 754, Naples, Florida 34106). This Second Edition has been revised, updated and expanded.
She is an active board member on numerous professional, business and civic associations in her community. In 1997, the Women's Bar Association selected her as "Woman Lawyer of the Year." She is a frequent speaker on special education law.
